Preparation of the Environmental Risk Register (ERR):
The Environmental Risk Register (ERR), also termed as Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register, is a detailed project-specific document which comprehensively outlines all the environmental risks and recommended mitigation measures. The ERR is a live document that should be updated by project owner throughout the project life-cycle and as new or unplanned project activities come in to operation. The ERR is developed following international best practices, to rate the significance of environmental impacts in terms consequence and likelihood of occurrence. Recommended mitigation measures are included in the ERR that effectively reduce the overall risk rating and impact of environmental aspects. Typical environmental aspects that pose significant environmental risk include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Site clearing and preparation
